The
crew
|
| Captain Myles Torkington. Fresh out of the
merchant academy with a first in inter-species trade and a second in operating
the pan-galactic algae transmogrifier. Would like to see the universe. Would
also like people to stop hitting him, please. |
 |
| |
| 2nd officer Lexi Yip. Spent one term in
the commonwealth navy as a marine pilot before joining the merchant service.
Very loyal, amazing sense of smell. This is not always an advantage. |
 |
| |
| Navigator Shuki La Boom Boom. Cool and unaffected by any
trouble going on around her. Tinkers with trans - dimensional hyper math
algorythms for a hobby. Accidentally caused the ships computer to become
sentient by doing this. |
 |
| |
| Cargo officer <string of subsonic
noises and whistle-clicks>. Known as Gribbly-Bob. Amphibious with a
cartilage skeleton. Each tentacle has it's own brain, so able to have some
pretty deep conversations with itself. Originally came on board when the old
captain decided to clean out the ships rats by submerging the ship and opening
all the hatches. This worked, as Gribbly-Bob ate all the rats. |
 |
| |
| Engineer Rufus. A Shifaka. Long arms and
legs, gripping feet, prehensile tail. Can work any way up in zero gravity with
four tools at once, while still holding on. Good at taking things apart. Not so
good at putting them back together again. Unfortunate habit of borrowing items
that might be useful later. Makes a mean cockroach curry. |
 |
| |
| The ship. Commonwealth Starship Princess Apple Blossom was
a sub-light tug once, before they invented the KiTy-LTR drive. Then she
was refitted and used as a pirate chaser. Then refitted as a fast courier.
Then as a racing yacht. Then sold to a merchant combine. She's been upgraded
so often that she contains three seperate wiring systems for her lights,
a security system that has to ask politely if sir is a pirate or not before
opening the bridge door, and a drive system which may have valves. Apple
Blossom recently became sentient when navigator La Boom Boom accidentally
phased some of her memory arrays into a pocket dimension. |
